ECB opens rate-cutting cycle, cuts rates by 25 bps as expected

The ECB cut interest rates by 25 basis points as expected, reducing the three main interest rates to 4.25%, 3.75%, and 4.50% respectively, the first cut since 2019 and the second central bank among G7 members to do so.
