RD Technologies stated that it will accelerate the development of enterprise-grade stablecoin infrastructure in preparation for the official implementation of Hong Kong’s stablecoin licensing regime on August 1. Meanwhile, ZA Bank has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with RD Technologies to explore the application of stablecoins in compliant financial services. Previously, RD Technologies participated in the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s stablecoin sandbox pilot and launched the HKDR stablecoin, which is pegged 1:1 to the Hong Kong dollar. In September last year, RD Technologies completed a $7.8 million Series A1 financing round, with participation from Sequoia (formerly Sequoia China), Hivemind Capital, Aptos Labs, Hash Global, SNZ Capital, Solana Foundation, Anagram, and Upward Capital. This round of financing will enable RD Technologies to continue building a financial platform that connects the Web2 and Web3 worlds and further contribute to the development of Hong Kong’s Web3 ecosystem.
