Tether and Circle to Discuss Potential Collaboration Opportunities with CEOs of South Korea’s Four Major Banks
According to a report by Jinse Finance, representatives from Tether and Circle plan to meet with executives from South Korea’s four major financial groups. These executives are expected to discuss potential collaboration opportunities, the issuance of a Korean won-backed stablecoin, and the launch of a US dollar-backed stablecoin in South Korea. Reportedly, Kim Ok-dong, CEO of Shinhan Financial Group, and Ham Young-joo, CEO of Hana Financial Group, have scheduled meetings with the president of Circle on Friday. Ham Young-joo also plans to meet with an executive from Tether on the same day.
