According to Jinse Finance, citing five U.S. Republican officials, Republican leaders are planning to hold a House vote next week on a temporary spending bill to extend government funding until November 21—the Friday before Thanksgiving. House Appropriations Committee Chairman Cole confirmed on Thursday that a vote will take place next Monday, a move that will advance a measure Democratic leaders have already indicated they will veto. Cole said, "We can do it. The gap is not that big anymore. But it is also difficult to get this done in the little time we have left, because I may have to finish before the end of next week." If the temporary funding bill passes the House, Senate Republicans may also bring the bill to the agenda next week. Currently, the November 21 date has not been fully finalized.
