RootData Chief Product Manager Ye Wang: CeFi leads with $23.58 billions in financing, Wall Street is launching a "dimensionality reduction attack" on the crypto-native ecosystem
According to ChainCatcher, at the Silicon Valley 101 x RootData Annual Summit held in Silicon Valley, RootData Chief Product Manager Ye Wang released the "2025 Cryptocurrency Development Research Report".
Ye Wang mentioned that the crypto market's financing landscape is undergoing profound changes. The CeFi sector is leading strongly with a financing amount of $23.58 billions, and its average single financing of $173 millions is 11 times that of the infrastructure sector, demonstrating the "dimensionality reduction attack" of traditional financial forces on the crypto-native ecosystem through tools such as IPOs, bonds, and mergers & acquisitions. At the same time, IPO/Post-IPO/ICO rounds accounted for $16.06 billions, representing 47% of the total financing, with an average single financing as high as $292 millions, far exceeding the $5.1 millions of the seed round.
The report particularly emphasizes that ETF and DAT are rewriting the rules of crypto financing, with the coin-stock concept leading the ultra-large financing track with $13.93 billions. Meanwhile, the financing proportion of the AI x Crypto sub-sector has exceeded 5%, and the deep integration of cryptocurrency and AI is becoming the strongest driving force for the capital market and early-stage entrepreneurship in 2025.
