Federal Reserve's Paulson: Supports two more rate cuts this year, each by 25 basis points
According to ChainCatcher, citing Golden Ten Data, 2026 FOMC voting member and President of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve, Harker, indicated that she is inclined to support two more rate cuts this year, each by 25 basis points. She stated that monetary policy should disregard the impact of tariffs on consumer price increases when being formulated, and believes that current conditions do not support tariff-driven price rises evolving into persistent inflation. Harker said that last month's decision to cut rates by 25 basis points was "reasonable" and advocated for easing monetary policy in line with the Federal Reserve's Summary of Economic Projections.
