Bubblemaps: MEGA presale involved sybil attacks
According to Jinse Finance, Bubblemaps has disclosed that a Sybil attack was detected during the MEGA token presale of MegaETH. The MegaETH presale rules clearly stipulated that each user could only use one wallet, with a maximum bid amount of $186,000, and identity verification was required through the Echo platform. Bubblemaps discovered that around 20 entities used multiple related wallets to bypass the $186,000 limit. In one typical case, wallet address 0x9f5c received funds from an exchange a day earlier, then distributed the funds to three brand new wallets, using a total of four addresses to contribute $600,000—three times the allowed allocation.
