Franklin CEO: All ETFs and mutual funds will eventually be on the blockchain

Bitget2024/05/12 02:14

In a ChainCatcher message, Jenny Johnson, CEO of Franklin Templeton, expressed her strong support for Blockchain technology. The company conducted a parallel experiment using traditional methods and blockchain to process account records for six to eight months. Jenny Johnson said the results were very positive, "We were surprised at how much lower the cost was to run it on-chain."

Johnson stated: "Blockchain is a highly efficient technology. We believe that blockchain will bring many new investment opportunities and all ETFs and mutual funds will eventually appear on-chain."

Furthermore, while acknowledging the practicality of generative artificial intelligence systems, Johnson also warned that they are somewhat like "students who excel in English but fail in math."
