Bitget Card Eligibility and Application Process

This article explains the eligibility requirements for the Bitget Card and provides a detailed guide on how to apply, what to expect after approval, and how to start using your card.
1. Bitget Card Eligibility
1.1 Who is eligible for the Bitget Card?
For now, the Bitget Card is made for VIP customers and by invitation only. To learn more about the Bitget VIP program, refer to the VIP program introduction. In the future, the card will be open to the public.
1.2 Restricted countries/regions
Based on the compliance requirements of Visa and the card issuer, we cannot issue Bitget physical/virtual Cards to users with identity documents or proof of address in the following countries/regions.

ID document holders from India, Israel, Pakistan, or Nigeria who cleared KYC Level 1 can proceed to the next level to apply for a Bitget Card.

However, you must not submit a Proof of Address (PoA) from India, Israel, Pakistan, or Nigeria to apply for a physical card.
-
The mailing address for physical card delivery must also be outside of India, Israel, Pakistan, or Nigeria.
2. Application Process
The applicant of the Bitget card is mandatorily required to clear:

KYC level 1 (proof of identity), and
-
KYC level 2 (proof of address) to apply for a Bitget card.

Any application from a user who has not passed KYC level 2 will be rejected.
2.1 Step 1: Complete KYC Level 1
-
Customers logging into their Bitget account are required to complete KYC level 1 by verifying their identity information.
2.2 Step 2: Complete Level 2 Identity Verification and Security Settings
-
To apply for a card, customers must complete KYC level 2 by uploading a proof of address (PoA) document dated within the last 3 months.
-
Customers who have not passed KYC level 2 will need to go through the following process: Navigate to the Bitget Card dashboard and click Apply. You are required to complete the following security steps.

2.2.1 Proof of Address (PoA) explained
Accepted Proof of Address (PoA) document list is provided for illustrative purposes only. In summary, the most commonly accepted PoA documents are:

Bank statements from the last 3 months

Utility bills, such as water, electricity, cable internet, natural gas, from the last 3 months

Note: the name in the applicant's Proof of Address (PoA) document needs to be completely consistent with the name of the identity information. Which means you can not borrow someone else's PoA for use.
2.2.2 KYC (PoA) address vs delivery address
-
Both addresses must be the same for verification and delivery.

However, due to Visa and issuer's compliance requirements, we do not support physical shipments to sanctioned countries, warring countries, and refer to Section 1.2 those countries that are banned from issuing a card.
2.3 Step 3: Submit Card Application
You may access the Bitget card application process only after your Level 2 KYC is cleared.
2.3.1 Page entrance

Go to the Bitget Card dashboard and click “Apply” to proceed

2.3.2 Card Info.

Embossed name: any name you want to print on the back of your Bitget Card. You can enjoy the freedom to decide what name to emboss on: it can be your legal name, nick name, or whatever name that you prefer.

2.3.3 Shipping address
-
Please note that the shipping address must be 100% consistent with your KYC address, which is the address shown on your PoA document. Please make sure that you CAN receive a shipping delivery by yourself.

2.3.4 Card PIN
-
Input your card PIN within 4-12 digits. That said, the most commonly used PIN is a 6-digit on a merchant POS machine or ATM machine.

2.3.5 Confirm information
-
Click Confirm button if there's nothing wrong. Otherwise, please step back and correct information.

3. What Happens after Success
3.1 Instant Use of Virtual Bitget Card

Customers who succeed in the card application will find the Bitget Card option on the OTC Account page.

Click Bitget Card to open the card management page, then select Card info to immediately view your card details, including the card number, expiry date, and CVV.

You are free to use the virtual Bitget Card through supported wallets, such as Google Pay, Alipay, etc.

3.2 Physical Card Shipping Arrangement

The physical card will then be shipped; depending on your delivery address, the estimated shipping time is subject to the courier company.

Usually the physical card will arrive within 45 business days.

4. How to Use

The Bitget Card is connected to the OTC Account of the Bitget account, and each purchase will automatically consume the USDT balance in the OTC Account.

Bitget card supports multi-currency spending. It can be used in more than 180 countries and regions around the world within the Visa network; Visa will automatically convert the local currency to USD, and then Bitget will convert the USD amount to USDT, which will be frozen and deducted from your OTC Account;

Supported cryptocurrencies: currently Bitget Card only supports USDT, but will expand to support BTC, ETH, USDC, BGB and other mainstream cryptocurrencies in the future.

Virtual card: mainly used for online shopping, supports binding Google Pay, Alipay, Wechat pay, Meituan, DDT, and other mainstream wallets; Wise (formerly TransferWise) is not supported.

Physical card: can be used for POS machines, cash withdrawal at any ATM machine with a Visa logo, and supports various consumption modes such as contactless payment, chip card reading, or side swiping.
FAQs
1. Do I need KYC Level 2 to apply for the Bitget Card?
Yes, KYC Level 2 is required to apply for the Bitget Card. If you haven’t completed it before, the KYC Level 2 button will appear during the card application process.
2. What qualifies as Proof of Address (PoA)?
Accepted Proof of Address (PoA) documents include recent utility bills such as electricity, water, or gas bills, bank statements, and official correspondence from government authorities. All documents must be issued within the past three months and clearly show your name and address.
3. Do the KYC (PoA) address and the delivery address have to match?
No, the address provided in KYC (PoA) does not need to match the delivery address. Users may choose a different address for card delivery as long as it is located in a supported region.
4. What is the process if I haven’t passed/completed KYC Level 2 yet?
If KYC Level 2 has not been completed, the system will guide you through the verification process during your Bitget Card application. You will be required to upload a valid Proof of Address and wait for the review to be completed, which typically takes 1 business day.
5. Can I apply if I reside in a restricted country?
No, users whose identity documents or Proof of Address are associated with restricted countries will not be eligible to apply for the Bitget Card. Please refer to the restricted countries table for the complete list of unsupported regions.
6. What if my application is rejected?
Applications may be rejected for several reasons, including incomplete or incorrect KYC information, submission of invalid or outdated Proof of Address, or uploading unclear documents. Rejections may also occur if the application originates from a restricted country or region.
7. Are there any fees for applying for the Bitget Card?
There is no application fee for the Bitget Card. The first virtual and physical cards are free of charge. However, replacement fees will apply if a physical card is lost or damaged.
8. How do I track my physical card delivery?
Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email or in-app notification. Delivery typically takes 45 business days, depending on your location.
