On January 22, 2025, significant net inflows into Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were reported, indicating a surge in investor interest in these cryptocurrency-backed financial instruments.

According to data from Lookonchain, Bitcoin ETFs collectively saw a net inflow of 6,719 BTC, valued at approximately $700.94 million.

This influx raised total Bitcoin holdings across 10 ETFs to 1,155,726 BTC, equating to $120.57 billion in assets under management.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) was a standout performer, recording an inflow of 6,208 BTC, which amounts to $647.67 million.

IBIT now holds a total of 569,343 BTC, representing $59.4 billion in assets.

Other Bitcoin ETFs also reported varying levels of activity.

The Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) added 66 BTC over the past day and 7,840 BTC over the week, while the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) saw daily inflows of 86 BTC and weekly additions of 3,933 BTC.

However, not all ETFs experienced growth; the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) reported an outflow of 163 BTC in the last 24 hours but maintained a positive weekly net inflow of 2,167 BTC.

In addition to Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs demonstrated even greater activity with a total net inflow of 18,108 ETH over the same period, equivalent to $59.59 million.

This raised total Ethereum holdings across nine ETFs to 3,634,963 ETH, valued at $11.98 billion.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust led this segment with an inflow of 16,959 ETH, amounting to $55.81 million.

The fund now holds a total of 1,176,690 ETH valued at $3.87 billion.

Despite some fluctuations in individual funds, the overall trend indicates robust institutional interest in both Bitcoin and Ethereum as they continue to attract significant capital inflows.

At the time of reporting, the Bitcoin (BTC) price was $102,753 and the Ethereum (ETH) price was $3,214.19.
