Introduction to Bitget Bot Copy Trading

Bitget bot copy trading is a smart copy trading mode that allows users to copy automated trading bots created and shared by elite bot traders. Once copied, the bot runs automatically based on the elite bot trader's strategy, delivering a convenient "set-and-forget" trading experience. The feature currently supports popular strategies such as spot grid bots and futures grid bots, making it ideal for users who want to benefit from quantitative trading strategies without manually configuring complex parameters.

When you copy a bot, your trades follow the exact strategy of the selected elite bot trader. The bot automatically executes actions such as buying low and selling high, grid arbitrage, and trend tracking. This removes the need to manage timing or parameters manually, lowers the barrier to entry, and enables continuous 24/7 automated trading.

How to start bot copy trading

1. In the Bitget app or on the website, go to the navigation bar and select Copy > Bot Copy Trading.

2. On the trading bot page, choose between futures grid or spot grid bots. You can browse, sort, and filter elite bot traders using metrics such as ROI, PnL, maximum drawdown, and number of copiers.

3. Choose an elite bot trader you want to copy, select Copy, enter your investment amount, and select Confirm to start copying.

Tip: In bot copy trading mode, copiers only need to set the investment amount. All other core parameters—such as grid range, leverage, take-profit/stop-loss levels, and position-adjustment rules—are fully synchronized from the elite bot trader and cannot be modified. This ensures the strategy is replicated accurately.

Core parameters that cannot be modified (including but not limited to):

● Bot type (e.g., spot grid, futures grid, Martingale, CTA)

● Price range and number of grids

● Leverage (for futures bots)

● Take-profit and stop-loss ratios

● Profit target and stop-loss per grid

● Maximum position size

● Risk control parameters (e.g., maximum drawdown limits)

Key considerations

● It is recommended to start copying shortly after the elite bot trader opens positions, to reduce the risk of entering at an unfavorable level.

● For grid bots, prioritize bots that are already operating within their configured price range to begin capturing grid profits sooner.

● After copying starts, all position adjustments made by the elite bot trader—such as increasing or reducing positions—are automatically copied in proportion to your investment.

● The minimum copy amount is displayed on each bot's page and varies by strategy.

● If you manually stop copying, all copied positions will be closed and funds will be returned to your spot or futures account.

● It is recommended to enable platform notifications to stay updated on your bot's status.
