Solana and Avalanche Fall as Bitcoin Slides Near $40,000

Bitcoin (BTC) is plummeting and driving the major alternative coins down with it. Bitcoin is now trading at $40,640, according to CoinGecko, and has plummeted nearly 4 per cent over the past day. In the past week, BTC has fallen more than 6%.
