Clyde Co. lawyer Liam Hennessy, based in Brisbane, stated in an interview with CoinDesk that Australia is expected to be one of the first countries to approve Bitcoin spot ETF products. The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) is expected to approve such products in either the first or second quarter of 2024. Currently, Australia is definitely ahead of Hong Kong and Singapore. In Australia, Monochrome Bitcoin ETF ranks first in terms of probability since its application in July 2023. Derek Vladimir Henningsen, General Counsel and Head of Legal and Compliance at digital asset management company Monochrome Asset Management, expects the Monochrome Bitcoin ETF to be listed in the second quarter of this year.
