A group of cryptocurrency developers have released their alternative implementation of the experimental ERC-404 token standard to achieve the same results in a more efficient way.The ERC-404 token standard was launched on 2 February by the Pandora team and is designed to combine ERC-20 tokens and NFTs.The general idea is to enable the use of NFTs by enabling them to be split and reassembled when needed for of local fractionalisation, although this can lead to some interesting side effects, such as the returned NFTs may be different. However, these tokens have had a significant impact on Ether transaction fees, generally pushing them up. In response, this rival development team thought they could create a more efficient implementation that would have less of an impact on transaction fees.
