Gala Games, Alienware and others will host a hackathon at GDC 2024

The cryptocurrency gaming company Gala Games announced a partnership with PC manufacturer Alienware and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to hold a hackathon at the 2024 Game Developers Conference (GDC).
The 24-hour hackathon will have a prize pool of $1 million and will be open to both in-person and online GDC participants. The hackathon will see projects utilizing Gala's GalaChain SDK, deploying first-layer blockchain support for games such as Spider Tanks, Legacy, and Eternal Paradox.
Hackathon participants will be able to utilize GalaChain's technology, which supports innovative game features such as the next generation upgradeable NFTs in the mobile RPG Champions Arena.
