The U.S. government's strategic accumulation of Bitcoin has led to a significant increase in unrealized gains, with its current holdings estimated to be worth $14.4 billion. Owning 210,392 BTC makes the United States one of the largest Bitcoin holders globally. Ki Young Ju, head of CryptoQuant, pointed out that several government departments such as the Department of Justice and IRS have not traded any Bitcoins since July 2023, leading to an unrealized profit increase by 2.4 times. Analysts from Arkham platform estimate that the government's Bitcoin reserve is 215,245 BTC, equivalent to about $14.8 billion USD. This wallet also holds other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, USDC, DAI and USDT besides just Bitcoin.
