On July 18th, according to Decrypt, Coinbase data shows that as of the time of writing, over 33.2 million ETH (worth about $114 billion) have been staked, accounting for approximately 28% of the total ETH supply. The growth in the total value of staked ETH aligns closely with a nearly 5% increase in expected returns on staked ETH over the past month.
According to Coinbase's data, the current estimated return rate for Ethereum staking is 2.60%, higher than last month's 2.48%. Based on on-chain data compiled by Dune, Ethereum staking has been steadily increasing, surpassing the milestone of 30 million ETH in February and reaching a historical high of over 33.4 million ETH on July 12th.
With investors anticipating a significant number of spot Ethereum ETFs to receive final approval this month in the United States, interest among Ethereum holders in staking is also growing rapidly.
