Axie players can participate in The Wild Noctid Chase event running till 14th August for a chance to win AXS, SLP rewards, and land items. The Wild Noctid Chase is happening in the newly launched Homeland Avatar Mode, which is accessible for all players who own an Axie.
Noctids refer to the wildlife in Lunacia, and players will come across these creatures as they spend time roaming Lunacia in Axie Infinity’s Homeland Avatar Mode. Players can find these playful creatures in the Lunacian villages and interact with them for a chance to claim rewards, until 14th August 1:00 AM UTC.

The noctids will appear three times in a day, specifically at 1:00 AM (UTC), 8:00 AM (UTC), and 3:00 PM (UTC). As soon as a player spots a noctid, they need to quickly interact with it. If the interaction is successful, the noctid will follow the player for 15 seconds.
However, within this time window, other Lunacians can try and steal the noctid. This can result in a game of tag until 15 seconds have passed. The player who is the last one standing with the noctid will receive a system generated message with a link to the Ronin Gift Portal from where they can claim their prize.
During the given time window, 5 waves of noctids can appear after a period of 30 minutes. This means that there are 15 chances for players to claim a prize daily.
What prizes can Axie Infinity players win?
The Wild Noctid Chase is offering prizes like coveted land items, AXS tokens, and SLP. Winning the land items means that players can adorn their plot with Phantom Altars or R0N1N-21.
They can also win 0.01 $AXS or 0.1 $AXS tokens for being the last one standing with the wild noctid. Besides that, there’s also a chance to win 20 or 100 SLP (Smooth Love Potion) points. Players can use SLP to breed their Axies and trade them as NFTs on the marketplace.
