MakerDAO: DAI and MKR will continue to be available, upgrading to NewStable and NewGovToken is optional

MakerDAO said on social media platforms that Endgame (the endgame program) introduced NewStable and NewGovToken, upgraded versions of DAI and MKR. however, DAI and MKR will still be available. Both tokens are expected to remain unchanged for the foreseeable future unless governance decides otherwise. Users can continue to hold and use both tokens as before. DAI will remain available indefinitely. Users may upgrade to NewStable and may choose to revert to DAI at any time. 1 DAI = 1 NewStable (NST). MKR may still be used to vote on governance proposals. Eventually, NewGovToken (NGT) will be used for voting, seamlessly converting back to MKR to ensure flexibility. During the upgrade, 1 MKR = 24,000 NewGovToken (NGT).

The rebranding of the NewGovToken is designed to facilitate broader governance participation. It allows more users to hold large numbers of NewGovTokens and positively influence the future of the ecosystem. Upgrading to NewStable and NewGovToken is optional.
