Speaking on Platform X, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko likened the Solana ecosystem to a decentralized and decentralized Y Combinator, noting that the Solana ecosystem is characterized by “founders rather than developers”, “startups rather than projects”, and “engineering rather than research”. Yakovenko acknowledged that the Solana ecosystem suffers from communication inefficiencies due to its decentralized nature, suggesting that there are multiple entities such as Solana Labs, Anza, the Solana Foundation, Helius, Metaplex, Colosseum, Jito, and Triton.
