On November 9th, according to Cointelegraph, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Canada thanked stablecoin issuer Tether for assisting in an investigation and freezing approximately 10,000 Canadian dollars ($7,186 USD) of stolen Tether stablecoins from an individual, which have now been returned to the victim. OPP Detective Staff Sergeant Addison Hunter stated: "With the voluntary assistance and cooperation of Tether International Ltd., the stolen digital assets were successfully seized and returned to the victim. This collaboration played an important role in ensuring the prompt recovery of the assets."
