Vitalik Buterin commented on the content about unreasonable small government expenditures issued by the U.S. Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) on Warpcast: "I don't quite agree with this approach of the Government Efficiency Department, as these examples listed only account for a very small part of total expenditure. If the government optimizes its goal to avoid spending that looks bad in area X, it will miss many valuable opportunities, while those projects that actually waste more but look decent will continue to exist.
For small-scale public funds, you should adopt a venture capital (VC) style approach, accepting a large number of possible mistakes because its goal is to ensure catching those opportunities that can bring 1,000 times return. The cautious energy should be focused on large-scale affairs."
