Trump and ABC reach settlement in defamation lawsuit

According to the settlement document released on the same day, ABC will also post a statement on its website expressing "regret" for host Stephanopoulos's remarks on his show. In this lawsuit, Trump accused Stephanopoulos of repeatedly claiming on TV shows that Trump was found guilty of "raping" female writer Carroll. Trump believes this has damaged his reputation.
