The ransomware group Nitrogen has claimed responsibility for the breach, and experts are concerned about potential security monitoring and incident response protocol shortcomings. Members of the credit union are advised to monitor their financial accounts for unauthorized activity and report any suspicious transactions to their bank or credit card provider. The credit union is currently facing potential legal action and has enacted standard incident response protocols, launched a forensic investigation, and offered affected individuals a complimentary subscription to Experian's credit monitoring service.
