Steno Research stated in a report on Sunday that the price of Bitcoin is expected to rise from about $94,000 to at least $150,000 next year, while the price of ETH will more than double, rising from $3,400 to at least $8,000. That is, the ETH/BTC exchange rate will increase from the current 0.0357 to 0.06 within the next 12 months. Similar to previous cycles' price trends, altcoins will become a focus of attention.
Analyst Mads Eberhardt wrote: "This expectation is partly based on arguments that Donald Trump winning the US presidential election would be more beneficial for altcoins than for Bitcoin." The report states that Bitcoin's market share is expected to drop from its current approximately 56.6% down to 45%. It's predicted that decentralized applications' TVL (Total Value Locked) will reach a new high of $300 billion next year; if this prediction proves correct it further supports arguments for an increase in altcoin prices.
