With just a few days left until Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, investors have placed bets totaling $845,000 on whether Trump will mention cryptocurrency-specific words in his inaugural speech.
Accordingly, users of the decentralized prediction market platform Polymarket are making predictions about what topics Trump will talk about in his speech on January 20.
According to Polymarket data, Trump's use of the words crypto/Bitcoin (BTC) in his speech is priced at 19%, while Trump's use of one of the words Dogecoin/DOGE is priced at 12%.
Other topics that Trump is expected to mention in his speech include MAGA, Elon Musk, Kamala, Biden, McDonalds, America, the border and illegal immigration.
This situation of Polymarket users betting on what Trump will say is nothing new. During the 2024 presidential election, many users also tried to guess what Trump would say at campaign rallies, the second presidential debate, and even in a conversation with Elon Musk.
