The Arkansas Senate rejected a bill to ban cryptocurrency mining near military facilities

According to The Block, the Arkansas Senate City, County and Local Affairs Committee rejected a bill by 6 votes to 1 that would prohibit the establishment of cryptocurrency mining operations within a 30-mile radius of military facilities. The original bill also included an emergency clause that if a licensed cryptocurrency mining facility is located near a military facility, the state government can revoke its business license. The bill stated that this measure was necessary for ensuring the health and safety of Arkansas and its citizens.
