Fox Business Channel reporter Eleanor Terrett reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Crypto Working Group's meeting minutes were updated this week, with crypto "critics" participating for the first time. According to the memo, Benjamin Schiffrin, Director of Securities Policy at non-profit organization Better Markets, attended the meeting. The meeting discussed methods to address issues related to crypto asset regulation and the necessity of preventing fraud in the crypto field. Notably, this was the first time that SEC's Crypto Working Group met with a crypto "critic". Better Markets has always been critical of cryptocurrencies, believing they carry high risks and regulatory loopholes. The specific discussion content of the meeting was not made public but according to the memo, SEC is actively exploring a regulatory framework for crypto assets and emphasizing on combating fraudulent activities.
