Recent on-chain data shows that some crypto whales are selling TRUMP and MELANIA memecoins amidst the massive liquidations in the crypto market.

Whales Dump TRUMP and MELANIA with Huge Losses

Spot on Chain revealed that crypto whales are dumping the memecoins, seeing huge monthly losses.

According to the reports, a whale sold almost 13.98 million MELANIA coins for 14.32 USDC earlier today, taking a $14.9 million loss at the time of the post .

This translates into a 51% monthly loss.

Another crypto whale sold over 763,000 TRUMP coins for 9.47 million USDC, exiting its third TRUMP trade with a $25.5 million loss, according to the same notes. This translates into a huge monthly loss of 72%.

Previously, the trader also sold 2,500 TRUMP coins valued above 70,000 USDC in January.

TRUMP and MELANIA Prices Drop

Both memecoins are seeing sharp price drops amidst the huge crypto liquidations in the past hours.

TRUMP is trading above $13, down by 13% today. The coin has a market cap of over $2.63 billion. Earlier, the memecoin was trading at $14.92 and it saw a sharp price decline of over 10% in a relatively short amount of time.

The memecoin was launched last month and it reached its ATH on January 19 close to $74, one day ahead of US President Trump’s inauguration.

MELANIA is down by over 25% in the past 24 hours. The coin is trading above $0.91, with a market cap of over $493 million.

Earlier, the coin was trading at $1.17 with a market cap above $627 million, and it dropped by almost 15%. MELANIA continued its descendant trajectory to current price levels.

The memecoin reached ita ATH on January 20 above $13.6. MELANIA memecoin was also launched last month, right after the TRUMP launch.

The memecoins’ decline comes amidst a crypto market sharp drop today of over 7.5%, amidst significant crypto liquidations . Bitcoin price also dropped by over 7% today.
