According to informed sources, alternative asset management giant Apollo Global Management Inc. is in talks to lead an investment of about $35 billion in Meta Platforms, a "metaverse company" under Mark Zuckerberg's banner, thereby helping the latter build a series of data centers in the United States. Apollo will be the main investor and financing plans are still at an early stage of discussion. Recently, Meta has claimed that it will invest up to $65 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) related fields by 2025.
