A company that sells smartwatch face designs through non-fungible tokens has sued LVMH Group, accusing the luxury fashion conglomerate of patent infringement.
In a complaint filed with the Federal Court of Texas on March 10th, Watch Skins accused LVMH of stealing its "pioneering NFT display technology."
Watch Skins claims to have developed a unique system that allows users to display verified NFT artworks on their smartwatches and owns several patents related to this technology.
The company alleges that a smartwatch from TAG Heuer, an LVMH brand, and other products from brands under the group illegally used NFT display technology based on three patents owned by Watch Skins.
