On March 25 local time, US President Trump stated that there was no classified information in the group chat about the US military's combat plan for Yemen on the communication platform "Signal". Trump praised the staff involved in the group chat and criticized reporters who reported on leaks. He also said that "nothing happened" after the leak of group chat information. Trump indicated he would investigate Signal's usage and claimed to have asked his National Security Advisor to study Signal's security issues; this investigation into Signal chats is not being conducted by FBI. In addition, Trump said he believes his National Security Advisor Walsh has made every effort and does not need to apologize. Walsh stated that they are investigating how reporter Goldberg managed to enter into a Signal chat group.
