Bitget Wallet COO Alvin Kan: The wallet is becoming the core entrance of the Web3 payment narrative

Odaily Planet Daily reports that at the "BUIDL 2025" crypto summit held in Hong Kong, Alvin Kan, COO of Web3 wallet Bitget Wallet, stated during a roundtable discussion: "Crypto wallets have become the gateway to Web3 and have established user stickiness. They will play an important role in PayFi and payment narratives in the future." He believes that as functions continue to be integrated, wallets are moving towards a one-stop direction and their roles in on-chain ecosystems are becoming increasingly important.

Regarding current market trends, Alvin said: "Compared with scalability, users' attention to specific use cases is rising." He observed that some public chains achieve higher usage rates by meeting daily transfer needs. This shows that practical applications may be more attractive to users than underlying technical performance.
