TRON DAO: Investigating X Account Breach, Currently in Contact with Law Enforcement

TRON DAO stated on platform X that its official account was compromised at 9:25 AM Pacific Time on May 2, 2025. During the period of control, the attacker posted messages containing contract addresses, sent private messages, and followed unfamiliar accounts.

The official emphasized that they never post contract addresses or proactively send private messages. Users who received related messages on May 2 should delete them immediately and consider them malicious.

TRON DAO indicated that the incident resulted from a social engineering attack on a team member. Even after regaining access to the account, the attacker attempted to profit by posting content through the main account. The incident is currently under investigation, and relevant information has been submitted to law enforcement agencies, with accountability efforts underway.
