According to a report by Jinse Finance, Bloomberg reported that the enterprise-level blockchain company Ripple recently made an acquisition offer of $4-5 billion to the stablecoin issuer Circle, but it was rejected by the latter. Circle believes that the valuation does not adequately reflect its strategic position and growth potential in the cross-border payment field. The stablecoin USDC issued by Circle currently has a market value of over $61 billion, making it the second-largest stablecoin globally. The company has submitted an IPO application for April 2025 and achieved a revenue of $1.67 billion in 2024. Circle's recently launched Circle Payments Network (CPN) aims to connect global financial institutions through USDC and other regulated stablecoins.
