The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, Ukraine, has ruled to transfer virtual assets seized in a major fraud and illegal gambling investigation to the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA). The assets in question originate from a digital wallet registered on the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, owned by a Ukrainian national (ОСОБА_6), suspected of money laundering through unlicensed platforms like rollbit.com. The total value of the seized assets exceeds 500 million hryvnias, far surpassing the regulatory threshold. These assets include various cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Solana, and Tether (USDT), distributed across multiple sub-accounts associated with the main Binance user ID. The total amount of the seized cryptocurrencies exceeds 500 million hryvnias, significantly surpassing the national regulatory threshold set by Ukrainian law. The court's decision also mandates Binance, registered in Seychelles as Nest Services Limited, to execute this asset transfer and cooperate with Ukrainian authorities. ARMA is expected to sell these assets through an official electronic auction platform to fulfill its duty of managing seized property and returning its value to the national budget.
