Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson is pressuring the Senate to make as few changes as possible to the large-scale spending and tax cut plan passed by the House last week, in order to advance President Donald Trump's agenda. He warned that if senators make significant modifications, it could return the bill to a version that cannot pass the House again. Johnson stated in an interview, "We have reached a very delicate balance here, a subtle equilibrium achieved over a long period, and it's best not to interfere too much."
