Cecabank and Bit2Me Launch Digital Asset Solution for Banks
Spanish crypto platform Bit2Me and leading European custodian bank Cecabank have officially launched a comprehensive digital asset solution tailored for traditional and digital financial institutions, reflecting the banking sector’s rapid embrace of cryptocurrency.
The new platform provides real-time access to crypto markets, secure custody through cold wallets, and trading services covering more than 100 digital assets. Designed specifically for banks looking to integrate crypto offerings, the system fully complies with Europe’s MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation, establishing itself as a trusted option amid tightening regulatory frameworks.
Source: Press Release. Cecabank, managing over €350 billion in assets under custody, contributes its extensive post-trade service expertise and robust risk management to the partnership. Meanwhile, Bit2Me, known for its regulatory transparency and technical prowess, manages the platform’s trading engine and market operations.
Since announcing their strategic alliance in May 2024, both firms have completed the technical rollout. The platform is now fully operational and awaits regulatory approval from the Spanish Securities Market Commission (CNMV) for broader market participation.
By integrating crypto-native infrastructure with established banking systems, the platform enables banks to offer services such as custody and Reception and Transmission of Orders (RTO), facilitating seamless digital asset adoption without sacrificing compliance or security.
Highlighting the significance of this launch, Bit2Me CEO Leif Ferreira described 2025 as a pivotal year for crypto in banking, citing increasing institutional demand. Cecabank’s Aurora Cuadros emphasized that the collaboration strengthens the bank’s leadership in providing post-trade services for digital assets.
As global finance continues to converge with blockchain technology, the Bit2Me–Cecabank partnership marks a major step in bridging traditional finance with the evolving digital economy.
In a similar move, Broadridge Financial Solutions recently introduced Broadridge Digital Asset Solutions, a suite aimed at helping financial institutions implement digital asset strategies while ensuring compliance with global regulations. This initiative responds directly to the growing need for effective tools in the expanding cryptocurrency and digital asset markets.
