Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino recently shared his outlook on future technological developments, predicting that within the next 5 to 15 years, smart devices will no longer come with pre-installed applications and may even eliminate app stores altogether. Instead, they will adopt local private data storage and AI assistants that build user interfaces in real time. Ardoino stated that future devices will obtain additional data through peer-to-peer proxies, and AI assistants will negotiate communication protocols with each other to improve efficiency. Most computing will be performed locally on the device to reduce latency. He also revealed that QVAC is working to build an open operating system for this vision, aiming to allow users to forgo installing fixed applications, with local AI instead customizing functions in real time according to user needs.
