A user lost 4.35 BTC after purchasing a counterfeit hardware wallet from an e-commerce platform

This means the scammer already had the mnemonic phrase, and the user simply used this phrase as their own wallet, resulting in the theft of 4.35 BTC—worth several million RMB, now gone."
