BlockBeats News, July 29—According to a report by Bitcoin.com, the process of appointing Brian Quintenz as the new chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), nominated by Trump, may face another setback—his name has been removed from the meeting agenda of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry.
Quintenz, a former CFTC commissioner, is currently the head of policy at the crypto division of renowned venture capital firm a16z. At another meeting of the same committee last week, his name was also suddenly withdrawn from the voting list. Although no official reason has been given for the removal, there is widespread speculation that there may be issues with his nomination.
