New York Fed: Permissionless blockchains perform better in terms of payment accessibility

Jinse Finance reported that analysis from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York indicates that although they have similar functionalities, permissionless blockchains possess advantages in payment convenience that centralized instant payment systems cannot match. This conclusion was reached after the passage of the GENIUS Act in July 2025, which provided clear regulatory guidance for stablecoins.
