Wintermute: OTC trading volume increased by 400% in 2023

Market maker and liquidity provider Wintermute stated in a new report that as trading volume moves off-exchange, its over-the-counter (OTC) trading volume grew by 400% in 2023. Wintermute stated that in the first half of 2023, its OTC trading volume decreased, but individual trading volume remained stable. However, in the second half of this year, independent trading volume grew sixfold to reach 29 million transactions, while weekly OTC trading volume reached $2 billion.
