BlackRock acquires alternative market data provider Preqin

Nate Geraci, President of The ETF Store, stated on social media that BlackRock is acquiring assets/private equity market data provider Preqin, seeking to use this data to ultimately create ETFs. Golden Finance previously reported that according to the Financial Times, financial data company Preqin is considering selling for a value exceeding $1 billion, with companies such as SP Global and BlackRock looking to acquire Preqin.
