Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated that Japan's efforts in regulatory clarity have made "entrepreneurship and investment truly flourish". He anticipates a strong demand for the Japanese Yen stablecoin, but he will not make any commitments about Ripple's stablecoin in Japan before its launch in the United States. In an interview with Bloomberg, Brad Garlinghouse said: "People will want to hold the Japanese Yen stablecoin, I think it's just a matter of time." Although Japan is a "conservative market" in some aspects, it is "very healthy" in others. He believes that Japan performs better in providing regulatory clarity and legislation for stablecoins and cryptocurrencies. However, Ripple will first focus on launching its stablecoin in the United States before considering Japan.
