$ETH Futures ETF and Cancun Upgrade | Crypto Daily Digest Aug. 18
Reported Bloomberg, United States Securities and Exchange Commission is set to allow the first exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on Ether Futures. Recently nearly twelve companies including ProShares, Volatility Shares, Bitwise and Roundhill who have filed to launch Ether futures ETFs in recent weeks.
On the development side, Ethereum launched official testnet for the Deneb/Cancun upgrade, called Devnet 8. Devnet 8 is the first dedicated testnet that includes all the finalized EIPs for the Cancun/Deneb upgrade.
Cancun/Deneb is the next major upgrade for Ethereum and is expected later this year, including five Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) that designed to add more storage for data and reduce fees.
