Solana re-stakes agreement Solayer launches governance token LAYER and foundation. Solayer Labs said: "We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Solayer Foundation, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to promoting SVM expansion, LAYER tokens, and protocols claimed in the first quarter."

Solayer Labs stated that LAYER is an SPL-2020 token, which will initially serve as Solayer's governance token for "accelerating ecosystem growth and protocol development."
