XRP’s Chances of Surpassing ETH
Dark Defender’s September 2024 analysis highlighted a key technical development in the XRP/ETH market. He pointed out that XRP had been in a six-year downtrend, but a crucial breakout had occurred, signaling a potential reversal.
The chart from September showed XRP breaking above a long-term descending resistance line, a key technical indicator suggesting bullish momentum.
At the time, he confidently stated, “We have waited for this moment for six years. XRP will flip ETH.” His analysis suggested that XRP had reached a long-term support level and was set to outperform Ethereum in the coming months.

The chart displays a clear five-wave Elliott Wave structure, with XRP entering an extended third wave, which is often associated with the strongest price movement in a trend.
The first target in the chart is the Fibonacci 361.8% level, which would put XRP at $5.85 . Dark Defender has previously predicted this target, and it is the first step on XRP’s path to surpassing Ethereum. Following that, Dark Defender expects the digital asset to reach as high as $18.22.
XRP is currently trading at $2.69, and a recent analysis shows that if it can hit approximately $6.7 , it would surpass ETH’s market cap. With Ethereum constantly failing to build bullish momentum, XRP could surpass it very soon and become the second-largest cryptocurrency in the market.
