Odaily Planet Daily News: When discussing the next Federal Reserve Chair, U.S. President Trump stated that Warsh is very talented, but he may not be the choice, as he does not want to pay higher interest rates on 10-year debt. (Jin10)
Note: In early 2025, Warsh was once considered a leading candidate to succeed Powell. He served as a Federal Reserve Governor from 2006 to 2011 and, during the turmoil of the 2008 financial crisis, acted as then-Fed Chair Bernanke’s liaison to Wall Street, giving him extensive experience at the helm within the Fed. He is also someone Trump is familiar with; eight years ago, before deciding to appoint Powell, Trump interviewed Warsh for the Fed Chair position.
