Trump Says Willing to Impose Significant Tariffs on China and India, Foreign Ministry Responds

金色财经2025/09/11 09:29

Jinse Finance reported that Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian hosted a regular press conference. A Bloomberg reporter asked: According to reports, U.S. President Trump personally told European officials that in order to force Russian President Putin to negotiate with Ukraine, he is willing to significantly increase tariffs on India and China, but only if the European Union does the same. What is the spokesperson's comment on this? Lin Jian stated that China has always maintained an objective and fair position on the Ukraine crisis. China is not the creator of this crisis, nor is it a party involved. We firmly oppose using China as a pretext and strongly oppose imposing so-called economic pressure on China. (Beijing Daily)
